ADENA 97 Girls Win U13 Division at Fall Ball Tournament

The U13 Adena (97) girls team recently won the Fall Ball Soccer Classic in Cincinnati by defeating the Lady Knights from Delaware, OH 2-1 in the finals. They defeated the Classics Eagles White from Westerville, OH 3-0, the Tornados from Harrison, OH 5-0 and tied the Tri-State Futbol Alliance from Cincinnati 1-1 to win their pool and advance to the finals. The girls withstood a late 2nd half rally from Tri-State FA that culminated in a last minute penalty kick that tied the game. The girls advanced based on superior goal differential. They then scored late in the second half to break a 1-1 tie in the finals to claim the title. It's their second Cincinnati tournament championship of the fall season, and with 4 league games remaining, the girls are currently 12-2-1 against the best Lexington, Louisville and Cincinnati have to offer
The 97's are coached by Colin Maher and Kristy Harrison.
